By far the best yoga dvd for beginners is Rodney Yee’s Yoga For Beginners.  This dvd includes three fantastic workouts – A forty minute pose training session – A twenty minute morning workout and a fifteen minute evening workout.

The most important one for beginners is the yoga pose training lessons.   This session shows you how to accurately perform the basic poses – including accurate alignment and technique for each pose.

It is extremely important when you are beginning yoga that you learn how to correctly perform the poses.  This will ensure that you are not only getting the most out of your yoga workout, but also that you will not hurt yourself by doing the pose incorrectly.

Rodney Yee’s forty minute pose training session is very easy to follow and he and Colleen Saidman expertly demonstrate all of the basic poses.  They provide detailed lessons that can easily be performed and understood by beginners.   For each move they also share information on how to avoid the mistakes that they see most often.

You will find the 40 minute pose training session to be an excellent workout which you can perform even after you have correctly learned all of the poses.

The 20 minute morning workout included on this dvd is also fantastic for beginners.   It is easy to follow and includes poses that are perfect for beginners.  You can choose from three different audios – one that includes full instructions, one that includes instructions to the poses only and one that does not include any instructions.

This workout session is a great way to start the day.  It will energize you and make you feel refreshed.   Beginners are often amazed at how performing yoga changes the way they feel – it centers your mind, improves posture and flexibility.   Continued yoga workouts will give you a long and lean look.

Also on this dvd is a meditation session and a deep relaxation session.

Kundalini yoga is much different from what most people think yoga to be.  I think you will like how it makes you feel.

If you practice both the Kundalina yoga and the Rodney Yee yoga dvd workouts you will have a total body workout that will energize you and reshape your body.

Although I have to say that the Rodney Yee workout is the best yoga dvd for beginners, I would have to recommend that you also invest in the Kundalini yoga dvd – it provides a totally different workout.
